KATHMANDU: Members of the House of Representatives elected in the February 21 polls have taken the oath of office and secrecy.
The oath-taking ceremony was held on Thursday afternoon at the multipurpose hall of the under-construction Parliament building in Singha Durbar, where senior-most member Arjun Narsingh KC administered the oath to the lawmakers.
Earlier on Wednesday, KC had taken the oath of office from President Ram Chandra Paudel. Following this, he administered the oath to the remaining 274 members of the House. A total of 47 lawmakers took the oath in their respective mother tongues.
