Vianet Launches WiFi 6 Internet Service in Nepal

KATHMANDU. Vianet Communications has officially launched its next-generation WiFi 6 internet service in Nepal, aiming to address common issues such as slow speeds, buffering, and weak signal coverage.

According to the company, the new WiFi 6 technology is designed to meet the growing demand of modern households where multiple devices are used simultaneously. Compared to previous-generation technology, WiFi 6 offers up to four times better performance and significantly lower latency, ensuring a smoother and more reliable internet experience.

Vianet has introduced a range of high-speed packages from 250 Mbps to 600 Mbps. The 250 Mbps annual plan is priced at Rs. 13,800 (inclusive of VAT), with an additional one-month internet service provided free of cost for yearly subscribers.

To improve coverage across homes, the company is also offering a WiFi 6 Mesh Router at Rs. 3,500 (inclusive of VAT). The mesh system is expected to solve common issues of weak signals in larger homes or areas with thick walls by providing consistent connectivity throughout the premises.

Existing customers can upgrade to the new WiFi 6 ONU at a nominal cost of Rs. 500, making it easier for users to transition to the latest technology.

The service is expected to support high-demand activities such as 4K streaming, online gaming, video conferencing, and remote work without interruption. Customers can obtain further information or subscribe to the service by contacting 01-5970644 or visiting the nearest Vianet office.
