Appreciative Inquiry to Igniting Good Governance and Dynamic Team Building for Transformative Change.

Dang । On the request of the Division Forest Office (DFO) Dang Deukhuri two days long Appreciative Inquiry to Igniting Governance and Team Building for Transformative Change Training was accomplished on 2nd May 2024 in Lamahi.

 

Total 28 officers of the DFO Lamahi were participated in the training. The secretary of the Lumbini Province Government, Ministry of Forest and Environment Mr. Mohan KafleInaugurated the training and DFO Mr. Raju Chhetri Welcomed to the participants. Training was facilitated by the CEO of Eastern Research Institute of Positive Science (ERIPS) Dr. RC Lamichhane.

 

TheIgniting Good Governance and Dynamic Team Building Training in Lamahi was a transformative experience that empowered participants with the tools and knowledge needed to drive positive change in their organizations and communities. Over the course of two days, participants engaged in a series of interactive workshops, discussions, and activities designed to enhance their understanding of good governance principles and team building strategies.Accordign to Raju Chhetri the DFO Lamahi, the training has unlocked the potential of the team members and inpisred them to take the positive action in further work.

One of the key highlights of the training was the use of Appreciative Inquiry (AI) to explore past successes and strengths within the DFO team. Participants shared inspiring stories of effective governance practices and successful team collaborations, which served as a foundation for further learning and development. This approach helped create a positive and inclusive atmosphere, fostering collaboration and creativity among participants. Mr. Manoj Kumar Shah the forest officer opined the training has empowered to internalize the positive power of the team to lead the positive transformation of division forest activities in future.

 

The training also emphasized the importance of effective communication and collaboration in achieving good governance and dynamic team bonding. Participants learned practical skills and strategies for improving communication within teams and across organizations, which are essential for building trust and fostering a culture of transparency and accountability. Through group activities and role-playing exercises, participants were able to practice these skills in a supportive environment. The intern of Institute of Forestry Ms Asmita Regmi found the training was very inspirational to the career start student like her. According to her these two days has taught many things that will guide the forestry career.

 

Another key focus of the training was the role of leadership in promoting good governance and effective teamwork. Participants learned about the qualities and behaviors of effective leaders, and how they can inspire and motivate others to achieve common goals. The training also emphasized the importance of ethical leadership, highlighting the need for leaders to lead by example and uphold high ethical standards. Mr. Om Oli the forest officer found that the time he spent in the hall was worhtwile to bring the positive changes in the division foresty program in future.
