Kathmandu: Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is set to visit the People’s Republic of China on 30 August.
According to a press release issued by Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prime Minister Oli will be in China until 3 September at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.

He will attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit.
The SCO Summit is scheduled to be held in Tianjin, northern China, on 31 August and 1 September. The opening of the summit will be addressed by Chinese President Xi.
Leaders including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with heads of state and government from other countries, are also expected to participate.
The ministry confirmed that Prime Minister Oli will also hold a separate bilateral meeting with President Xi during his stay. He is expected to deliver an address at the SCO Plus Summit in Tianjin.
In addition, he will hold talks with leaders from various countries, including a meeting with Chinese Vice President Han Zheng.
Immediately after returning from China, Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to embark on an official visit to India.
