Panchapuri Government’s Eight-Point Commitment to Effective Service Delivery for Citizens

Surkhet. The Panchapuri Municipality in Surkhet has made an eight-point commitment to citizens aimed at improving the effectiveness of public service delivery.

The commitments were announced during a public hearing programme organised by Panchapuri Municipality and facilitated by Star Innovation and Research Centre Pvt. Ltd.

During the public hearing, chaired by Mayor Lalbir Bhandari, the municipality pledged to further improve and make public services more citizen-friendly, launch a joint campaign to enhance the quality of education within the municipality, and resolve the drainage and waste management problems in Babiyachaur Bazaar in the upcoming fiscal year.

The municipality also committed to making health services more effective, accessible and user-friendly; undertaking collective efforts to complete unfinished projects; strengthening the capacity of cooperatives operating within the municipality to ensure their sustainability; ending the practice of carrying out development and construction works only at the end of the fiscal year in mid-July (Asar-end); and making efforts to establish Land Revenue and Survey Service Centres in Babiyachaur.

The commitment document was signed by Mayor Bhandari, Deputy Mayor Muktidevi Regmi, and Chief Administrative Officer Narayan Bahadur Bista.
